Have you ever felt stuck? Well, I have! In fact, I’ve felt stuck many times in life. But in 2012, I was feeling VERY stuck and was growing more frustrated with each day. Do you want to know something interesting? I was frustrated because I knew the answer to getting unstuck already existed inside me but I just couldn’t figure out how to get it to bubble up to the surface. I simply couldn’t figure out the right questions to ask.
So one night, I busted out the old iPad and started to toggle through the App Store for tools that might help me feel more productive. It was in this moment that I discovered the application UNSTUCK: Your In The Moment Digital Coach.
Was it the cool, calm color scheme that drew me in? Nope! It was the name; it was EXACTLY what I wanted to be, so I immediately downloaded it!
Wow! I thought. The developers of this app, SY/Partners, had instantaneously delivered to me 11 awesome tools bundled together in one location to help me tackle any obstacle. They referred to them as your “go-to tool kit for stuck moments…use any of the tools as often as you like to springboard your way to unstuckness.” It was as if the hand of God had personally delivered this application to me.
Here is a list of the tools:
- Get your game on
- Pros vs. Pros
- Map it out
- Shake up your routine
- Mirror, Mirror
- Spread the news
- Tell me why
- Visualize it
- Obstacle course
- Call in the calvary
- Now or Never
The one that immediately spoke to me was Tell Me Why. After all, it made the grand promise to tell me why I was feeling stuck. Once I selected this tool, I followed the brilliant and intuitive, step-by-step instructions inside the tool.
Step one prompted me with questions that caused me to address the feelings I had otherwise internalized.
Step two guided me through breaking my “stuck moment” into bite-sized chunks which empowered me to be more thoughtful about what was holding me back and, ultmately, the root of the issue.
Step three was the “ah ha” moment and I began to recognize I was closer to the sensation of “unstuckness” they promised.
Step four blew me away. Even after the promise had already been delivered, they went the extra mile to provide me with a super duper summary of why I was feeling stuck and what I agreed I would do to get (and remain) unstuck.
I don’t often say that if you use this tool or that tool it will “change your life.” In fact, as a general rule, I avoid saying it at all costs because those claims are usually overblown. However, in this case, this application had a massive impact in my life and I am grateful for it. So, if you use this app with a great deal of intention, it too may change your life.
